Tips on Motorcycle Storage!

Looking to store your motorbike for whatever reason?  The team at Storage Spot has talked to some bike owners and they have shared their tips with us which we will share with you!  Plus we have some great specials running right now!

  •  Service your drive chain before any washing.
  • Perform a detailed wash and wax.  Dry off the bike thoroughly!
  • Add fuel stabilizer then top off with fuel.
  • Store indoors preferably with Storage spot! Okay we added the part about where you should store it but you should really store it in a 100% climate controlled facility which we are!
  • Cover with a breathable cloth cover, not a plastic one.
  • If you’re storing for 6 months or more, remove spark plugs, inject WD-40 then reinstall the plugs.

What size unit should you get to store your motorbike?

We’d recommend either a 5×10 or 10×7.5!

Tips for Spring Cleaning!

Storage Spot staff would like to share some tips to spruce up your home!

Whether your doing it to help sell your house or just make it look better for spring, we think these easy tips will help!

Here are some our personal favourites:

Curb Appeal: 

  • Slap a coat of paint on your your doors and shutters.
  • Replace your rusty old number plate and mailbox.
  • Throw down a new welcome matt and present a new planter.
  • Pull out the weeds and rake up anything that might have fallen or landed on your lawn.

Inside Your Home:

  • De-clutter your stuff and put it into storage and/or donate stuff to charity.
  • Roll up your sleeves and paint the inside of your house.
  • Update your bathrooms with new curtains and bath towels.
  • Consider replacing the lighting with more modern fixtures.
